First Glimpse

Forged in Fire
Born of stone
My cold heart
Is armoured
To keep out all.
Solitary in my fury
I rage and roar
Emotional vampire
All joy I devour.
Battle hardened
War craving creature
That I am
Yet the day you
Opened your eyes
I came undone.
Defences crumbled
From within.
Stone heart
Burnt to ashes
To be remade anew.
You were born
But it was I came to life
A painful rebirth
Into a new life.
