The Ladies of Horror
Picture-Prompt Writing Challenge!
Nightmare of my Land
by Asena Lourenco
.
Down in the land of dreams,
Branches begin to shake.
Ghosts are mourned by silent screams
As hearts begin to break.
.
Down in the land of dreams,
Seconds turn into years
As memories drip away like streams,
Replaced by newfound fears.
.
Down in the land of dreams,
Travellers are put to test,
Blindly stumbling around mist and steam
Searching for a safe place to finally rest.
