The Ladies of Horror

She Waits
by Angela Yuriko Smith
She waits
soaking in myth
at the fountain of youth
for ambitious pilgrims
that seek salad days
without wilt.
She ponders
the hypocrisy of epochs
that promise permanece
but dish out on argent platters
an evanescent present.
She savors
the pungent meat
of self-inflicted calamity
briny with weeping
fresh on the bone.
Nothing is wasted.

Brilliant! I thought you also had a FLASH about the old camera too (?) Anyway, great ending line too.
