Luna’s Judgement
by Kim Richards
She haunts my days at times
Her bright face lights up my nights
Gazing through treetop silhouettes overhead
I hide within darkness, lest my deeds be undone
.
I will be found.
.
Ghostly judgement sublime
Drawing my guilt to new heights
I plead her, “Please don’t reveal he whom I bled.”
Her reply on whispered breeze betrays me; she’s won.
.
I am spellbound.
.
Her hollow laughter chimes
Flitting on wings of black sprites
My blood weak victim moans and stirs half dead
She draws back cloud curtains to shine on the one.
.
I fall moss-bound.
