Mercy of the Moon
by A.F. Stewart
She ascends, creature of the forest,
transcendent within the moonlight
and the warm vermillion rain
As the forever cold graveyard wind
howls its vexation against the trees
.
All shall be forgiven under the moon
.
She bestows redemption of a kind,
perpetually shrouded in your sin,
her eternal mark your absolution
Primality of flesh transformation,
rejected conformity, mortality
.
All shall be forgiven under the moon
.
Deliverance is bitter, imperfect, grievous
So wail your fiendish curse to the cosmos,
as your bones rupture and claws forge,
as you endure, bathed in her illumination,
and scream beneath the warm vermillion rain
.
All shall be forgiven under the moon of the wolf
.
