Retribution

You’re too sensitive

It’s just a joke

Tiny barbs hurled

With the precision

Of a sledgehammer.

Cruelties small and large,

Meant for shattering,

For breaking

For annihilation

But you did not submit

You did not cower in shame

Instead …

You rose, glittering in

Glass shard armor,

stitched together with

Sheer determination.

And if you bled with

Every step, every stitch,

You still made beauty from the pain

Became a survivor,

A warrior

The Queen of Retribution.
