There is a lost legend
Parents used to tell their children
About a log cabin buried
Deep in the woods
In a clearing most barren
Hidden by dense hostile trees
That seek to deter wanderers
Passage to the other side.
Looming shadows and bloodcurdling shrieks
To protect that which dwells within.
It is neither man nor beast
It cannot be named
The few who have made it that far
Have not returned to tell the tale
But legend has it their souls
Forever roam the Earth,
Tortured and tormented
Never to find peace
The curse on them eternal
For that which they have seen.
