Endless Eternity
by Ela Lourenco
.
Empty shell, decaying wood
I drift through the crumbling bricks
No one comes and no one goes
Here in the hollow where I dwell
I wander aimlessly in my living tomb
Long forgotten, cast aside
Locked away to keep me ‘safe’
By a lover so jealous
He could not bear even the sun to see my face
I was flattered at first
And basked in his love
But time passed, as did his lust
And one day he appeared no more
No food, no water, I withered from the inside out
Praying until death came for me
I thought that would finally grant me release
But my spirit lingers on, never free for all eternity…

Awakening
The Royal tournament, the Karnac, is fully underway. But there is deception and betrayal at every turn. Unseen dark forces are at play, both within the school grounds and out with. Even the Gods are unable to help when a new threat looms over them all.The very existence of Azmantium depends on Lara fully becoming the Child of Fire and casting aside the Shadows lurking in every corner of her beloved planet. Can she overcome the challenges that await? Will the Shadows cover the world in darkness? Only Lara and her friends can change the fate of Azmantium.
A tragic tale – love the rhythm of this poem – it reads so well and has a wonderful pace.
Very darkly evocative, loved it.
