The Beyond
by Ela Lourenco
Banished, exiled, cast out of my home
Left to rot in this nowhere place
Shivering with immense heat, all alone.
.
Punished by a society of self-righteous sinners
My pleas of innocence, ignored and refuted
I lost, the truly evil ones, the winners.
.
Pushed through the portal into this desolate place
Where the heat melts the sky into the sea
And survival is an elemental race.
.
The only creatures here, skeletal crows and decaying trees
The odour of the poisonous putrid swamp bubbles up
I must survive, to one day be free.
.
They think I have died; no one survives the Beyond
Either you starve or melt to death, corpse feasted on by crows
Yet they do not know, I have managed to break my bonds…

Dragon Born: Book Three
Awakening
The Royal tournament, the Karnac, is fully underway. But there is deception and betrayal at every turn. Unseen dark forces are at play, both within the school grounds and out with. Even the Gods are unable to help when a new threat looms over them all.The very existence of Azmantium depends on Lara fully becoming the Child of Fire and casting aside the Shadows lurking in every corner of her beloved planet. Can she overcome the challenges that await? Will the Shadows cover the world in darkness? Only Lara and her friends can change the fate of Azmantium.
A darkly fantastic poem.
Nice! I do love a bit of impending revenge.
