Desolation
by Tawny Kipphorn
Deep within the barren wasteland, beneath flesh and bone, beats the heart of blackness and decay. Therein lies the beast of nothingness, full of greed, lust, and hatred as he masquerades as the everything. Refrain from the juggernaut of decadence and his tender symphony upon your ears, for he is truly the charlatan of aeons in all his sinister acclaim. The Stygian fiends of debauchery roam among us like a plague upon this earth, and eternally shall we remain blind to the veracity of his sentience. As the oppressor beams at the great decimation brought forth by his hand, so weeps the one most high, for the tears of the Messiah will spill forth and wash away the sins of humanity.
Erected from the ashes of death stands tall the tree of life, and as the sun hangs high, the supreme divinity casts his shadow over the world as each new day gives birth to a fresh hell. Temptation is a cruel master, and upon beating hearts plays the siren song of spectral strangers ever-long. Fear not how the fire burns in your veins as you descend into darkness, for these are the end of days, the fall of virtue and the rise of perdition. The sacred one retreats within the sanctuary of mourning, and our penitence shall commence at last.
