Bellows of the Bone Box
The Steampunk and Horror genres are masterfully combined in the twelve stories contained within Bellows of the Bone Box. Each of the authors has transported you to an age where steam is the dominate means of power and has woven a tale that will fascinate, or possibly scandalize you.
In this volume, you will find clockworks, pneumatic tubes, airships, and leather worn out of necessity – not vanity. Can an engine be powered by human blood; should it be? What about body modification; what happens when the mechanical meets the biological and goes awry? Does the heart rule the machine, or does the machine consume the humanity that once existed within it? What of airships, regeneration, or hallucination; is it safe to trifle with such things? Should technology that can rift time and dimensions be researched; and if that research proves fruitful, should it ever see the light of day?
Packed full of intrigue, imagination, and horror, lovers of Steampunk will have a hard time deciding which of the twelve is their favorite!

About Nina D'Arcangela
Nina D’Arcangela is a quirky horror writer who likes to spin soul rending snippets of despair. She reads anything from splatter matter to dark matter. She's an UrbEx adventurer who suffers from unquenchable wanderlust. She loves to photograph abandoned places, bits of decay and old grave yards.
Nina is a co-owner of Sirens Call Publications, a co-founder of the horror writer's group 'Pen of the Damned', founder and administrator of the Ladies of Horror Picture-prompt Monthly Writing Challenge, and if that isn't enough, put a check mark in the box next to owner and resident nut-job of Dark Angel Photography.
Great mix of genres, the cover looks badass!
Thank you, Juan! The cover was an absolute bitch to shoot, but it did come out badass! 😉
Thanks again for posting for us!
My pleasure, Lori! Thanks for stopping by! 🙂
One of the most striking covers I’ve seen in a long time; I’m sure the fiction within is equally mesmerizing!
Does it really matter how good the writing is when the cover is this good? lol – ONLY JOKING! Yes, the stories are equally as engaging as the cover. :}
My kind of book.
This was a fun one to put together, AF. Our first venture into the world of Steampunk! I now have a new addiction! 😉
I’d like to try reading some Steampunk and adding Horror to the mix makes it all that much more interesting to me.
Steampunk + horror = good! It was a great project, and we got some wild submissions on this one. I doubt it will be out last alternate history anthology. Thanks for stopping by! 🙂
