The Techxorcist

by Colin F. Barnes

Part cyberpunk, part thriller, part dysoptian Mad-Max mashup. The Techxorcist is a serialised novel.

This is the first installment. Part 0.5: Rebirth

Gerry Cardle creates the code that decides who lives and dies in the post-cataclysmic, utopian city sustaining the last million human beings on Earth. His life of rare privilege is shattered when, inexplicably, his own number comes up thanks to the machinations of a sinister artificial intelligent invader.

Gerry barely has time to deal with his impending, automated death before he’s recruited by Petal and Gabriel, two off-the-grid hackers. Together, they must exorcise the demon AI and prevent the destruction of the last bastion of humanity before the elite, ruling Family holds them responsible.

“Rebirth” is the 10,000 word opening chapter of “The Techxorcist,” a serial cyberpunk dystopian thriller. Three more novella-length instalments to come in 2012… get jacked in now!
