Sweet Aroma

At first sight, my heart beat faster. This new world to explore was before me. A place I’d heard of only in legends and stories, and imagined in dreams at night. I waited as a child to become of age to leave. And now that time had come. As I peeked through the bushes at the overworld, I took in all the wonders, and smelled the sweet aromas in the air. The bi-pedal, hairless creatures had the most delicious scent. I wanted to dash from my hiding place and feast, but I was always told, only go out at night.
