Where the sky meets the sea
City of lights and colours
Money and fast cars
All is a whirr of balls
And masquerades
Social niceties and silken gowns
Flawless diamonds glitter
Like stars in the night
In this utopian place
Where all is perfect
Everyone is happy
As long as you don’t look too close
Bruises well covered by expert hands
Hearts bleeding in pain beneath
Designer gowns
Degeneration and debauchery
Cleverly disguised by wealth
Women sold into slavery by themselves
Willing to bear whatever it takes
To live this dream…
